Photo: “grocery store typography”

As dorky as it is to admit, I’m a fan of typography. So much so, I read blogs about it — and I like talking about it. I’m not expert at typography, but I’m absolutely a fan. I’d even buy t-shirts like this one or this one here.  That being said, this weekend one of my favorite typesets is this sign at the Cosentino’s grocery store. And if my typography senses are calibrated right, I pretty sure their logo is Century Gothic Regular.  I had to capture a photo of it just to satisfy my dangerous font obsession :) wheeeeew, don’t worry, I feel better now.

How interesting...I am super into typography as well although I'm more into creating my own. Currently working on a few different styles to sell.

Owen, you may be right. I was deliberating for a bit myself, it's the "E" that really throws you for a loop. Century Gothic Regular in all caps would be similar to this Cosentino's sign. However, I think you're dead on with the Hillstone reference!

So... what font is it!?!

The middle line in E seems too high for Century Gothic Regular and the horizontal line in N also connects weird. I'm not sure what the font is called but it seems to be same one Houston's owner Hillstone uses. http://www.hillstone.com/#

As a fellow "fontie," I would be remiss if I didn't ask whether or not you've seen the documentary "Helvetica." It would be right up your alley!
